French Film: The Seventh Art - April 3 6:30PM

French Film: The Seventh Art - April 3 6:30PM

For the French, film is considered the seventh art, and this class will present an overview of the entertaining, thought-provoking richness of French and Francophone cinema from the 1930's to the present. In this ongoing series, we'll view films showcasing a variety of directors, actors, genres, and cinematic styles to develop an appreciation of both film and French culture. An ability to speak French is not necessary, as the course will be presented in English and all films are subtitled. This class will interest French speakers, students of French, and film buffs, of course, but also travelers to France (armchair or actual) and anyone interested in general cultural enrichment.

So, put on your beret and allons-y!

Dates: Apr. 3, 10, 17, 24, May 1, & 8
