Gill concedes 9th District race, congratulates McNerney | News

STOCKTON, CA -Congressional candidate Ricky Gill has conceded the race for the 9th District to his opponent Jerry McNerney.

Gill campaign spokesperson Colin Hunter released an email around 1:37 a.m. declaring the San Joaquin County native had contacted McNerney to congratulate him on his victory.

"Tonight, I called Congressman McNerney to congratulate him on his victory. I extended my best wishes to the Congressman and his family, and I expressed my willingness to act as a resource and to help him serve this community in any manner possible," said Gill.

Gill also thanked his team and supporters, and encouraged all residents of the 9th District to "come together and work towards the bipartisan, lasting reforms."
